I have done my 29-2 with the Renaissance wax and i have to say, this stuff is next to miraculous to bring back the original finish, even the cylinder drag line almost went away, expensive stuff but much more than candy... JP.

JP, your model 29 is not a dash 2 as the barrel is not pinned and the grips look like the diamond target Goncalo Alves repro fitted on the dash 10 classic 6.5" remake of a few years ago. I'm also guessing it have the lock just above the cylinder release latch, right?

On the box it say 29-2, i would not bet my Beaver on it, if it's a 29- 3-4-5-10 i could not care less... JP.

Nah, it just looked too recent to be a pinned barrel late 60's-early 80's dash two! You should take some close ups of the finish revamp after a touch of Renaissance wax so we see the final result. You probably have a few "before" pics somewhere on your photobucket to see what the wax really did on the finish.

I have a blued model 25-9 in .45 Colt that could be used as a guinea pig if you'd like. I would love to see it like it came from factory and the cyl. drag line disappear!!

Paid 30.00 for the can, expensive but with the results, very affordable, the stuff just work good... JP.

Nice job Caramel but if that wax was miraculous it would have turned your gun into a Python.........................;)cou:cou:

My allegeance to Colt is one Custom Bat Masterton 45 lc SAA Longbranch and one 1970 Custom Colt Special Combat Govt 1911, i cant get a Python brand new so i am passing on this one... JP.

I've had very good results with the Renaissance wax as well, used it on my Pythons and a couple others. I don't use it on the guns I shoot, as they will just get cleaned as well, but for keeping the acid from your fingerprints off your fine guns (and you should be wiping them clean every time you handle them anyway) it is great stuff. Also very nice on nickel.

Looks good, caramel!

Would you use this on an older semi auto with good condition bluing? Or is that just a crazy question? I've got a good condition P220 9mm that might look good with a little bit of wax. Or maybe it would look awful. Any ideas?
