Hey Dean.....

I don't know what's happened, but I know I've logged on here some days with a similar emotional reaction, particularly after having been though a disappointing deal. I've experienced more of those lately since the system owners over reacted to litigation intimidation, by some amateur barracks room lawyer.

I for one, hope you toss back a few beers and change your mind. You've been very gracious and helpful to both ~Angel~ with her Enfield collection and myself, teaching me how to handle my few Garands. We would both miss your unselfish approach to sharing your knowledge with other CGN members.

Regardless, it's your decision, but if you move on from here, I hope you'll stay in touch personally.

Hmm... good point Badger - if your reaction is related to a poor buy/sell experience, then it would truely be a shame to lose you to the CGN community asa result. I agree, the EE has become a more perilous place to navigate than it once was (ATTN SELLERS: good pics go a long way!!), but I would hope that any such experience would not sour you on the discussion forums as well?

Dean, the Board has changed as it has grown. It has become the single best site for Cdns interested in firearms. Several hundred new posts appear daily; there are always some of definite interest and value, even if some are a waste of bandwidth. There are many extremely knowledgeable and helpful members. Invariably someone is ready to help. In my experience, the overwhelming majority of transactions are carried out honourably; I have had only one worrisome transaction, and only one other in which my trust was abused, and that was a low monetary value deal. I was surprised that someone would sacrifice their integrity for $40. On the whole, I think that the positive far outweighs the negative. Along with Badgerdog and Claven2, I hope that you do stay around.
