This stuff really non-corrosive ??

vp6 - Maybe they should QUIT advertising NC if they can't confirm. Does that email have a name or just C-S. Be good to know if he still has a job after that 'admission'.

I emailed them in early September about the same subject. Here is a response I got at the time:

"Good afternoon,

This ammunition is as labeled non corrosive on our website and was purchased as non corrosive. Some of the later year production yugo m67 ammunition was made with non corrosive primers.

Seeing that there is a lot of conflicting information online I will be completely honest with you I am not sure. Some sources claim that the ammo with a flat, nickel-plated primer is non-corrosive, while the ammo with a domed primer is corrosive. However, this is not confirmed by all sources, so it is safer to assume that all Yugoslavian M67 ammo is corrosive and clean accordingly."

I didn't buy the ammo.

Wow. That's brutal. "We're calling it NC, and charging NC prices, but we're not actually sure if it's NC so just assume it's not."

still waiting to hear back, ill go into the store Thursday and find out whats up. Im sure there are other shooters out there using this stuff and putting their guns away without cleaning..they will be in for a little surprise to say the least.

I'd want my money back or tell them you want it for the same price as the Chinese stuff is going for . they can mail you a check . if no deal then give me my money back . see I was right . when I'm right I'm right . when I'm wrong I'm wrong . could you imagine your nice looking CZ barrel ending up looking like the surface of the moon with craters ? I'd flip if it was my rifle . I shot Yugo 308 many years ago in these greenish blue boxes . was I ever mad . I'm glad we saved you from a nightmare. I would just want my money back . that is the least they could do for you .

I omitted that person's name from the quote. There are business decisions and then there are employees who have to implement them. No need to out names.

The product was too good to be true. Every review on the web pointed only in one direction. The final check with the store was just to dot the i and cross the t.

Drove back to Bullseye to get this sorted out with the GM, after he was done belittling an employee who was having difficulties trying to complete the exchange, and a partial refund for the box that was missing a clip of 10 rounds.

I was offered PMC non corrosive in exchange and he tried to short me $30 in the difference, what a joke. In the end I walked away with some PMC, but not before making sure his employees were aware that he gave me ammunition without verifying I even had a firearms license. The expression on his face was worth the trip in. The way the General Manager interacted with his staff in just the few minutes I was there pissed me off, im sure the staff loved watching him mess up by not verifying my license.

Anyway there are lots of other stores I can shop at.

I love it . you just made my day . good for you . that's what I was hoping you could do . and it shows you that some so called GM's shouldn't be in the position that they are in . I see that on a daily basis. good for you . buyer beware.

Unfortunately , making a public scene about the manager not checking your PAL will probably only make it more difficult for the next person buying ammo as they may become super strict on PAL verification . I am guessing that since you were returning previously purchased ammo , that the manager would assume that your PAL had already been checked , so he didn't bother make you dig it out again . Sometimes we are our own worse enemies .

thanks for your opinion, but its the stores policy to verify PAL's on ammunition sales.

And too bad it's WAAAYYY overpriced, just because it's "steel-free bullets". $780 for 1120 ? Almost 3X cost of Chinese - plus tax !
