I`ve been reloading 22-250 with IMR 4895 (34.5gr) and Hornady V-Max 55gr bullets. Today I noticed I was almost out of 55grainers so I ran down to the gunshop. They didn`t have any left All they had was the Hornady V-Max 40 grainers. I guess its back to the range for me tryin to figure out a load.
Got to hate that, just when you figure an awesome load that works great. I`m only .5grain above the minimum charge for the 55gr bullets. Maybe I`ll do the same for the 40gr and hope for the best.

You should be able to find v-max online somewhere. Order a good supply and you should be good for a bit.

That's why I bought 4000 55gr VMAX when a sponsor was clearing them out a few years back... I'm set for quite a while.

55gr VMAX is pretty common though... should be lots of sponsors that carry them!

i have to ask. what is the heaviest bullet a 22-250 can take with a 1 in 12 twist???
