I used to use a piece of strong thread. Loop it over the Rocker with the ends handing over the front of the Trigger Group. Now, as you slide the Trigger Group onto the Upper Receiver, you pull on the ends of the looped thread to pull the Rocker Down just as you slide the two pieces together. Once you have the two pieces slid past the Rocker, simply pull on one end of the Thread to pull it out of the Firearm. It is far easier to show you than to explain with words, but hopefully that paints the picture for you! It works very well once you get the hang of it.

I use a fishing leader myself, the RCMP told me they use a hacksaw blade ground down thin with a small hook on the end, I have never tried this but I think it may work easier. Personally I would delete this thread now as when a CA Thompson is transferred the upper and lower are often directed to be welded together.
use a fine guitar string or fine piano wire works the best . dental floss works too. PM me if you get stuck
and like brother i will help
cheers
I just received mine yesterday, and it went through the new conversion process and the reciever and trigger group were not welded together or required to by CFC
the problem is, when I took the trigger group off to clean, I have been trying to get it back together, but in the conversion the full auto switch is fixed in the semi position, so when you slide the trigger group back on to receiver the rocker is hitting the bolt and is stopping it from going together. I believe when the rocker is in full auto position it is lowered so it does not hit the bolt. Is there a trick to get it to go together. Thanks for any help

Did the gun get sent to the RCMP lab for approval ?
If so how long did it sit at the lab ?
The ever-changing "Conversion Requirements" for 12(5) Converted Autos are becoming ridiculously and dangerously out of control. A TSMG welded up the way Mr. Wolverine suggests would preclude ever accessing the internals of the firearm for maintenance of any sort, rendering the firearm functional but impossible to clean & oil, change out worn Trigger Group parts, etc, etc. Absolutely insane, but I suppose it doesn't matter if you have no intention of ever allowing the owners of 12(5) CAs the opportunity to discharge their legally-registered firearms! Fvckers....
I knew it would be you to answer this, thank you once again for all of your wisdon, I will give it a try when I get home today, thank you
I wanted a Mac 11, but CFC stated that the receiver had to be welded together, so I did not buy it just for that reason, if something small breaks inside how do you fix it. That is total bulls**t
