I have a T/C Encore with a short 45/70 and a long 270 barrel that I need some stuff for but getting the parts for them is either a waiting game with WSS that you almost always lose or a continual string of "Sorry don't carry that just the guns" from the gun dealers. And am wonder where the other T/C owners go to get the stuff they need. I know Cabelas has some stuff but not sure if all of it will work for me.

Here's what I'm looking for and why.

15" 45/70 Gov pistol barrel set-up needs the following.
  • Barrel Band or Rifle fore-stock for conversion to fit pistol barrel for use
    with rifle sling.
  • Upgraded recoil pad (stock brick pad and 405-500 Grn loads don't mix well) must be the same length to maintain the Non Restricted OAL and the proper LOP for me.

24" 270 Win Rifle Barrel Set-up needs the following
  • Hammer spur/extension due to the LOW scope rings.

Any help I can get on tracking down the items I need would be appreciated since I can't find anything that matches my T/C that will not require me to sand or file away the excess to match the profile of the rear stock and keep my OAL. I will if I must but would rather do that as the LAST resort. And all the Hammer Extensions I've tried here are to large or small or just straight up don't fit.

Extra barrels would be nice but sadly all the good calibers are always sold out or on Back Order from Cabelas.

Found the recoil pad available at Cabela's but everything else I found there is suspect or on the Cabela's special (Back Order) so I'm still looking for other sources of where I can find the parts I'm looking for.

Two suggestions: Google tc arms and look at their non US dealers list. Google lyle linkaitis or e-mail him @ lylelink@mts.net (I think??) He is the Canadian TC warranty rep and may have some stuff.

I'll try that but like I mentioned before every dealer I've talked to so far just carry's the guns not a single accessory for them. Found a Hammer spur from the first post for which I'm grate full creating an account but I'm gonna have to expect Customs to hold it up for a month or more. Gonna check the site out more over the next few days before I order it to see if I want anything else. But I know I still need the fore-stock or barrel band lets hope I can find that with your advice.
 
You could try tnt in regina (306-352-8505) as he had a wood fore end for my 15" 4570 barrel that he had ordered in as I wanted the synthetic stlye.

Any gunsmith can install a pad for you..
Same goes for a putting a stud into your present forearm..
You can also get a spilt/clamp on barrel band either from the gunsmith or Brownells..

You might be able to get a hammer spur from Brownells..

You should have zero problems importing the items you list from Brownells if they carry those items..

You can't put a stud in a pistol fore-end it's only the size of your hand and that is why I'm looking for the rifle fore-stock or a barrel band. Also alas the gunsmiths I asked don't have anything that will fit the TC properly. Something very close but not without reworking it making it more expensive then buying a new fore-end or the clamping barrel band

Brownells has the Hammer Extensions so that is a big help for which I'm grateful but that's about it.

Looks like no ONE store has it all gonna have to make multiple purchases from different places. Multiple packages again.
