Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter

Good solid rifle, you get what you pay for, had one in 209X50, was accurate and easy to clean with the good products. Sold it , cos dont go deer hunting anymore.

That's what I originally did SMITH45, was buy the SS 209x50, then gradually purchased different bbl's and stocks and got a good deal on Pro-Hunter black syn stocks.
Bloody thing shoots like a dream!!!

You are right Gatehouse, but, I play a lot with it in my gun room before, and shot the thing at least at 3 ranges visit(around a 100 rounds). And yes , trigger is not the lightest, but again, if you know a smith who can fix it or a replacement part ? Mine was stock, around 6 pound on my Lyman scales, but no take up or creep.

Only people that I know of that don't like them have never shot them and know very little about them... :p

Check out Mike Bellm @ ww.bellmtcs.com he is a master when it comes to the T/C's Contender/Encore/G2 frames/firearms.

I have been hearing recently that some folks are having trouble getting these to shoot with any accuracy. Not sure if this is true or not, but it might explain why so many end up on the EE after a few months.

Don't know why that would be the case. TC has great warranty for the lifetime of the gun no matter who owns it and accuracy is covered under that warranty.
