Where can I buy a Thompson Center Encore? Where can I get barrels?

Dealers please tell me what you have in stock and your price.

Everyone else just tell me where they are. Can't find one in my area.

Thanks.

It has been several years since Encores been brought into Canada only way you are going to find one is to look for a used one.

The rifles that you need to look for are called Prohunters the main difference between an Encore and the Prohunters are Encores come with a standard stock and 26" non-fluted barrels where Prohunters have a flex stock and 28" fluted barels.

I know this is an old thread but why the Encores are not available in Canada?

Don't let that stop you = I bought my s/s camo synthetic stocked Prohunter in 7mm mag.

As soon as it arrived I went on the EE forum and posted an ad that I wanted to trade the 7mm mag barrel for a s/s 30-06 Prohunter barrel few days later I had a deal with a fellow in Mediciune Hat I then posted another ad that I was looking to buy a s/s 375H&H Prohunter barrel bought it from a fellow in Sicamous.

When both barrels arrived I shipped them to Guntech on Vancouver Island he shortened them from 28" to 22" for me turn around time was 4 days from mailing to receiving them back.

I now have both barrels set up with Leupold scope bases/rings and VX3 2.5-8X36mm B&C reticle scopes overall weight including sling is 7.8lbs when the 30-06 barrel is installed and 7.5lbs when the 375H&H barrel is installed.

I am loading 250gr TTSX @ 2600fps - 2620fps in the 375H&H yes it recoils a little.

I like black/gray laminate stocks just found out Boyd's is making them again for the T/C Contenders and Prohunters I'll be ordering a set for the Prohunter as soon as I remember to call during business hours.

That's an option but all the frames and barrels are interchangeable, ex: a 375 H&H barrel will fit on a complete gun in 30-06?
