, but that the gun will be revealed at SHOT and he'll talk even more about it.

to listen to the work and people they put into the project, it sounds like T/C was bound and determined to produce a gun far better than it's price tag would suggest in an effort to really break into the market.

No wsm or long cartridges for the first while, tho they intend to add to the line once it's established. Wood stock only for right now.

He also hinted we'd be seeing a new rifle from Smith and Wesson.

We'll see what people are saying after shot.

I better stop by! I was already going to check them out regarding the S&W takeover.

I was in Regina today talking with the guys at TnT and I guess Ian McMirchy gave the low down on the rifle to the guys and from what I heard it supposed to be an awsome rifle at a bargain price.
I know Ian teaches the long range shooting course here in Sask and is supposed to really good at what he does. If he's designing a rifle its more then likely a sweet shooting rig.

Cheers!!

That is a good looking rifle. I hope they stick to T/C quality and not S&W.
Have you seen any Performance Center guns?
The absolutely best gun for "home defense", is the S&W 327 TRR8, IMHO.

That article is quite the read! I was curious before... but now I want one. I wonder what the chances of getting one of the first nice wood stock ones in Canada are?

Great looking rifle like everything about except the weight 7 1/2 pounds w/o scope. Thats a tad heavy in a .308. Hope there's a synthetic stock one available soon.

Very nice and very well thought out. Packed with features...wow. I wonder what the magazine length is (hopefully longer than the standard 2.85 inches)

Any body know what the max COL is that the magazine will take ?

T/C make nice toys , no question, this is a nice rifle , as are many others. The bolt handle could be a little swept back. Stock is very nice(t/c seem to have tons of fancy Black Walnut). Metal work looks like time well spent. :D

Never seen a "swept back" butterknife bolt handle before.

Pretty guns that don't shoot are worthless, I'll wait for the reviews.
Well having shot more than a few T/C firearms in many calibers and given the reputation of the principals involved the development of the icon, I would say it is a pretty safe bet that these rifles will shoot MOA or better!
