Thompson Center help!!!

Hey there CGN,

I am interested in getting a Thompson Center G2 Contender rifle. The "issue" I have is that it seem that if you change out the butt stock for a pistol grip and add a shorter barrel you now have a pistol? So is this rifle even "legal" for non-restricted use?

Second question...who even sells T/C single shots?!

Sorry I can't help you, but I will say that I handled my brother in-law's TC single shot 7mm last night, and I was very impressed by it. Felt and looked like a very well made rifle. He dropped a 50" bull moose with it this past season.

Very nice. So from my looking into this...its nothing "special" about being able to own this rifle which I am glad to see. Converting into a "pistol" is no different then sawing off a shotgun, still highly illegal without the paper (if possible). If you want to make it a pistol, you can BUT then its stuck that way, no going back. So if you want both, your better off getting 2...1 rifle and 1 pistol.
