Thompson Center Recall, Icon, Venture, and Dimension

A safety recall notice has been issued for all Thompson Center Icon, Venture , and Dimension rifles manufactured prior to June 13, 2013
An issue has been found on some ,with the safety being prevented from fully engaging and when closing the bolt it may move the safety to the fire position
They recommend not using the rifle until it has been checked and repaired as necessary
At this time they do not have a warranty depot set up in Canada. They said to call back next week and hopefully by then they will know who will be doing the check/repair in Canada
I was told since this is a safety issue the work will be done on all the above rifles regardless of being the first owner or if you have purchased a used gun ( the lifetime at T C only applies to the original owner )

Despite this kind of mass recall being pretty effective at draining my confidence in TC products, I have to give them credit for going through with such an extensive recall. The wording indicates that it isn't every rifle that is faulty, just some of them.

We should all remember Remington didn't do diddly-squat about their trigger/safety issues until pretty much forced to in class action.
