I was out looking at a couple of T.C. black powder rifles and was hoping some one had a idea as of value. They appear to be early models rifles,half wood one is a 36 cal. the other is a 50 cal, both are in very good condition, the one has a brass scope made by tasco. They are both percussion fired. Any help would be great. Glenn
 
I'm no expert on gun values Glenn but I can tell you that in my recent quest to buy a TC Hawken in BC the prices were averaging $350 for a .50 cal and $250 for .45 cal and under. This assumes a factory gun with a few battle scars and light dings in the wood. Some worn color on the bluing and a nice bright bore. If it is in better shape or customized the price was as high as $500 and in a more worn condition the price was $50 or $100 less but there is less chance it will shoot well.

A home built Kit gun has a `K` preceding the serial number and that will lower the value of the gun by at least $100.

TC has an awesome transferable warranty on factory guns and if you want to you can have them fixed up easily. The Tasco scope is an extra and you would need to add some value on that as well.
 
The 36 cal is sought after by collectors if in good condition will fetch upwards of 500.00
What length is the brass scope and what rifle is it mounted on?
 
the scope is on the 36 caliber, the scope and barrel are pretty much the same length. The top of the barrel has been taped to except the scope mounts.
