Do anybody know of anywhere I could buy a Thompson Encore barrel , chambered in .243.

Only place I've seen one lately is attached to the frame by a hinge pin and pricing to the tune of 1400$.
I just recently got into the T/C Prohunter game myself and like most things I'm about 10-15 years too late as anything Encore/Contender related these days costs all your appendages and your first born child.

There was a brand new unfired MGM barrel in 6.5 PRC on the EE recently that I thought was a good deal.
I ordered a Howa Mini barrel from MGMs sister company Preferred Barrel early spring of this year and just got a notice from my Exporter that he has received it at his facility, wait was about 14 weeks.

If I was in the market for an Encore barrel I would strongly suggest getting an MGM imported from NINE35 here in Canada, especially considering the 5-650$ price tags that guys ask for these used factory barrels.

Found SSK out of the US, I have a friend over there now , who could bring it back, if it’s legal?
 
Don't know if they still have any...or if anyone is willing to buy from them anymore...but Epps used to have a fair selection of T/C barrels and goodies in the past, both used and new.
