a little wet today but not bad.

shot my first match ever and got my black badge :D

I was doing pretty good too until I got to the stage Slavex was RO'ing... He screwed with my mind (that's my excuss) and I ended up with more penalty points then good ones

But as I come back I got to witness Slavex's beretta jam on stage 4. I didn't see any glocks jamming today!! :p :p :p :D

one of the guys in my group took some pics and video so hopefully he'll send them to me in the next day or so.

my gun jammed? when was this? stage 4 was the "eat the baby" stage and I shot it fine with no problems at all. Not sure what you're remembering Scott. In fact other than operator screw ups, I had zero problems as far as I can recall. (of course I am tired and worn out right now so who knows)

you would've done fine on my stage had you just remembered to do your reload!!!!!!

sorry guys the vids were of me, not him :D

and slavex 4 was the one with the 2 windows. with a poper on the left activating the moving target on the right.

it was probably just a fail to feed. But I'll admit your tap and rack speed was quit impressive. You're gap between shoots was probably still as fast as mine without problems :D

nah that was me running dry and doing a reload. Apparently I thought that it would be more exciting to miss a full size pepper popper 4 times than to actually hit it. I have no idea what the hell that was all about, as I hit the first one no problem. I think it must have been the sun, yeah that's it, it was the sun in my eyes, plus the hail and rain, yeah yeah, oh and a bug got in my eye too!!!! nah I plain and simple lost my front sight somehow and thought I should just pull the trigger till I found it again. as a result I ran out of ammo for the mover and had to reload.

Ya boys, I came down from the loops and shot in the afternoon, lucked out and shot between the rain shower's. My edge gave me a smooth ride all day and I just hung on.My first time there so left early and still got lost, hope to shoot in June methinks.

Re : the guy whose gun kaboomed at Thompson.......I saw the gun afterwards, it looked like a para, maybe double charge of powder, and the barrel, slide, and frame were toasted. The guy will survive, just wondering if he is ok and how much damage to his hand. Anyone know ?

I was on the next range when it happened. I didn't see the gun or his thumb, only the bloody cloth wraped around it.

from what I heard the wound on his left thumb was down to the bone which got fractured and some pretty bad tissue damage. and had scrap metal stuck in it. (probably barrel / slide). and it was too early to tell if full use would come back or not.

I belive chozen1 on this board was one of the ones that took him to the hospital.

Wow.... I hope that there isn't any permanent damage to the shooter's hand. I was at an IPSC practice a few years ago when a cartridge went off when the shooter was manually ejecting his last round...that was a Para-Ord too, IIRC.
That really sucks... :(

Norms hand is kinda screwed right now from what I was told. plenty of damage to the thumb and 12 stitches (all they could manage to get into it). not sure of the make of his gun, but people seem to think double charge in a .45

Talked to Norm tonight he worked today rubber glove and all. He's in good spirits.Doctors cleaned his thumb up tendons still there, joints ok now we hope everything stays nice and pink.ps. hes going to be needing a new gun and we all hope to see norm back soon.

good to hear. I hope he knows that he is going to be getting a lot of ribbing over this for years to come!

I also spoke with Norm last night. He is doing well. It will take some time before he will know how well this injury will heal. Hopefully he will be back soon playing our game.

still no standings posted on the thompson site yet. I was hoping they'd be up by now.

or do I have to log onto the ispcbc page to see them? I haven't gotten a member number yet or anything.

The results are up, just under the wrong qualifier name.

Regarding your membership, did you receive your membership card? Applications have been processed on a weekly basis we are currently up to date.

hey thanks I found them now.

I just did the BB 1.5 weeks ago so maybe it's not through yet or maybe it's in the mail. but no I haven't goten anything yet.

Randy didn't have a BB certificate made yet either.

I'm not worried about either since it was so soon. I can see the results without it so I'm happy for now :D

Chozen1 phoned me before the match to let me know that scott HAD taken the course, and the paperwork was in the mail somewhere. He was also concerned that the paperwork wouldn't arrive in time.

Stats were posted on Sunday night. I just didn't have time to change the link from the match website. Stats are also up on the IPSC BC Website.

I got my card today. I also sent you a PM hungrybeagle about something else.

now I Just have to figure out how to log onto the ipscbc site... I don't get the doubletap password thing?
