Title says it all basically, I'm looking for a new 9mm semi automatic pistol, I had been looking at the NP22 as a cost effective option and was hoping to get some feedback on the pros/cons of this Norinco clone.

I have no qualms about Norincos, I own a woodsman clone (M93) and a 870 clone (DA mag fed) and have had no issues with regards to function or finish, but I was hoping some of you fine gentlemen have owned one of these and had some advice on whether or not to pursue it.

Was my very first restricted. You are already familiar with the fit and finish of Norincos, this one is the same. A bit gritty to start but with a strip down and lots of shooting it is pretty good and goes bang.

I bought the NP 34 a 228 clone because it balances better IMHO I just polished and cold blued the slide looks way better. After a few 100 rounds wa smoother added SRT kit and Hogue finger grips love it my go to sidearm best deal going.

Had and loved my np-22, really surprised by how good it was....in the end I traded to a p226....but never ever regretted that purchase, get as many mags as you can find, and shoot the hell out of it....

New Sig mags don't fit the Norks, been a few threads on that. Not sure how easy it is to find Nork mags these days

Hard to find the NP34 I got mine at Reliable Tackle they were great. Got a hard case 2 mags mag holder holster for 379.00 if memory serves me.

For the money, the NP-22 is a great gun. I put on some hogue grips and after that it was pretty much good to go.
I had the trigger bar break around 2500 rounds in. Fairly rare occurrence from what I understand, haven't heard of anyone else with the same issue. Never use a real Sig, as the norc triggers, particularly in double action, are terrible in comparison. I'm about 6-7000 rounds into it now, still my main 9mm.

Biggest issue is crappy trigger pull weight, but it just needs lighter springs and the trigger pull is much better
Grips are just ok.
Finish is decent.
Def one of the better clones norinco makes
