Thoughts/ experiences with Browning Pump Shotguns? (BPS)

Mechanically I like them, and I've shot a few while trying to convince myself to buy one. But for me it just seems to be a bit of a long stretch with my supporting arm to grasp the forearm. I find myself partially grasping the forearm at the very back along with part of the tube.

They functioned very nicely and I liked the bottom eject, but I just didn't like the ergonomics of where my support hand naturally wanted to be.
 
I owned an older model (pre choke tube) that functioned very well and I have hunted with a friends gun of the same vintage. The guns fit me well but they were heavy something that you did not want to lug around for grouse all day but as a duck gun they would be fine.
 
I've hunted with one a couple of times and I decided I wanted to own one. So I've ordered one in Camo. Should be here within a week.

Just curious, but why 10ga?
 
I had a 20ga for a few years. Great gun, very smooth action. The pump stroke is a bit long, both as long as it fits it, I don't see anything wrong with it.
 
16 & 12 bps

I have two a 16 and a 3.5" 12ga, love the 16, the 12 not as much heavy very reliable, but if buying 12ga again would have bought 3" only. I have a tendicy to short stroke the 12ga every once in a while (short Arms I gess), not the guns fault but it isn't the right fit for me. Hasn't had much use since the 16 showed up. Strong reliable pump, 3.5" mag shells kick lots can't see the 10ga being very kind at all, esp on a 3 box bomb up.
 
I own a 3" 12 ga BPS and absolutely love it. No problems whatsoever. I'm even converting my Remington and Benelli friends.
 
i have hunted and shot most common shotguns .thy are strong and reliableyes but i just never liked the idea that i could not see right in the chamberwhen i opened the action .my 870 and 535 and most side opening pumps and other shotguns you can see right in the chamber .this way i know the gun is safe DUTCH

You roll the gun over, open the action and look in the chamber. There is no reason to say you cannot see into the chamber, when you can.
I've owned 3 12ga's so far. I sold my first and regreted it. So I bought another and then bought a second to make my slug gun. I would love to find one now in each caliber to have. They are solid shooting guns.
 
Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm thinking a 10 ga. simply for geese.I had a fixed choke SxS, but sold it.However, I still have the reloading equip for 10 and 12 ga, so why not a BPS 10! I've already got 12 Ga. 870, so that's pretty versatile,especially with a rifled barrel, and a smooth vent rib choked pipe. You fellas figure these BPS's are heavy? That's good, very good. 10 ga. 3.5's kick a bit, heavier the better, at least this 10 won't be able to double discharge , now that was recoil!
