Thoughts.... MDT TAC 21 and 243 stainless..

So to celebrate our new freedom I'm thinking about building something.. I always loved my 243 I had a model 70 I shouldn't have sold but can't look back...

I like my savages BUT I like the MDT TAC 21's and since they are taking their time in coming out with a savage version...

So I was thinking about getting a 700 in 243 and mating it to an MDT TAC 21..

I've always liked 2 tones so I was thinking that I might even get a stainless donor for the bling factor....

Ok folks blow this idea to crap for me..

Oh, yeah, a Bad and Scary Sniper Rifle!! Soon as I get the money I'll be getting one for my Rem700.

Figured someone would tell me it would look ugly, wouldn't work, that I should wait for the savage as it would be out really soon.. That I should get an XCR or BAS... Anything rather then make me need to do something else behind my wifes back.. As she sits across the table asking me why I'm smiling.. "and has just said what have you done!"

:D I would marry an ugly woman to have that kind check and balance in my life! Just not a cranky one...

What's not to say she's not ugly and cranky..

We've had some tough time financially over the last couple years.. We are slowly getting back on top.. She doesn't really mind me doing this as long as I will use it.. With your last response I laughed and while I was getting the dogs she peeked so the jig is up...

don't know what I would do if she ever got an account here... It's probably a good thing we are usually 3000 km apart..

I was thinking about it the other day and I think they may have a little engineering challenge set out for them with regards to the Savage safety. The location would make it tricky for the "straight line" design. However, once solved and in production I think my wallet will be taking a hit!
