Thoughts on Aimpoint PRO?

I have mine mounted on my colt 6920, great in bright day light, the mount is very nice and I rarely ever hear owners mention but the mount is dual height capable. I run a vltor casv forend that mounts to the top rail of my receiver, there by putting my iron sights and my scope at 2 different heights compared to standard AR mounts, remove the filler plate and boom co witnessed perfectly with out trying to source an exotic expensive mount. the only down side is the clutch drive thumb screw does stick out a little but that is more then made up for by the repeatable zero upon reattaching the sight. its hard to find a true rough and tumble battle proven sight and mount for the same price...

I run ADM mounts, the factory mount is atrocious

Same here I run one of the ADM aim point mounts it has a much smaller profile than the QRP2 mount.

As far as my experience goes. This is hands down one of the best red dot offerings in the market for the value. Especially when I bought mine 3 years ago when the dollar was par. Aimpoint products are tough as nails and amazing quality. I run mine on a 10.5" SBR and I own everything from 0-600 meters with no magnifier. The 2 MOA dot perfect size for me so I can use the finest dot at distance but still easy enough to pick up at close ranges.

I've never really been a big fan of EOTechs because of how distorted and busy the reticle is; I find the Aimpoint single dot allows for me to see more of the target. My PRO is still running on its first battery at the moment and I haven't switched it out yet. Buy with confidence OP.

PRO has a little more glass tint but is still clearer than most everything else on the market. Battery life is shorter but still longer than most everything else on the market. T1 glass is almost like theres nothing there and battery life is really long. Brightness on both can be turned up higher than cheaper red dots before running into starburst, halo etc and bright enough to not wash out unless you're drunk and trying to shoot the sun out. As for the PRO's tint, its faint enough most people would never care. The glass is exceptional and puts every Vortex red dot to shame. Even the Razor HD. I liked that one for a while but after a few range trips I traded it for a PRO and was much happier. Not that its a POS, but like most Vortex products it performs well below its price point.
