Thoughts on Blackhawk Serpa holster? mail in rebate available

Serpas are crap. There's a vid with Craig Douglas doing ground combatatives and the serpa locked up.

But also be careful with hoodstyle. Points of faileure can occur with anything that depends on screws. Inspect ur equipment before undeploybit

Also, paddles are balls for draws. Friends don't let friends buy fobus-style holsters

Serpa? Any opinions yea or nay?

Nay!

"...a holster that requires multi-tasking of the trigger finger or that has a release mechanism closely proximal to the trigger is potentially problematic by increasing the risk of an inadvertant discharge..."

I have and have used a serpa holster for going to the range and for IPSC. I never liked the finger lock but it was never a problem because I have finger control. I soon disabled the lock and installed a duty belt loop. It works fine. I have had no problems. I only have experience with one other holster so I don't have much to compare. I won't say it's my favorite (it's not) but it works fine for me, a guy on a low budget.
