X2 for the Redfields. I have a 3x9x40 with the accurange reticule and it is great glass. I was told by a leupold rep that the revolution line is just the old vx-2 scopes with a redfield badge. Have also heard that vortex is worth looking into.

One a side note, I have an older "Short Mag" 3-9x33 scope on my M-305. It came one the rifle when
I purchased it. It's a pretty decent optic, but I wish it was a little bigger eye and objective lenses. Just personal preference. I was also very happy with the functionality of the Ballistic Plex reticle.

I have the FFII 4.5x14x42mm-love the scope. The reticle is perfect for hunting and the BDC is at 1.5, 4.5 and 7.5 MOA (I believe). Some may not like the parallax adjust on the objective but I do-it's very quick when out hunting coyotes. The other feature is that the magnification ring has the whole eyepiece turn-this may be a problem if you have an eyepiece flip-up cap. I do, but I can get the full range without any hang-ups.
All in all, I will never sell this scope. I also higher end Vortex (HS and PST), plus Leupold VX3-at the end of the day the Burris does the job nicely for hunting. I have also seen some deals on these recently.

I have a E1 3-9 on a 700 mtn rifle, looks like it was suposed to be there. it's clear enough seems to track good, not to heavy and the new reticle is pretty cool. Also have an older 3-9 silver mini USA made on a 17hmr that I like too. lots of competion in that 2-300 dollar range but I think Burris is right in the running for sure.
I have 3 Fullfield II 3-9x. You can find them new for $200. 95% light transmission, ballistic drop reticle. For a simple 3-9x cost effective scope they are hard to beat. I like them.
The Redfield is just a Leupold VX2 or 1. I'm not sure the comparable. You get the same trade offs. Good field of view, very small amount of black for sigh picture at all magnifications. But you also get the extra change in eye relief from this and the glass on the Burris is better. I happen to also like the reticle choice on the Burris along with the markings since I'm not fond of the big red R on the Redfield.

Take a look at the nikons as well, I bought a buris six x, which I felt very lucky to get before they cancelled them I think it is a great product but more than you want to spend. I also bought a nikon 2.5-10 which is not quite up with my six x, but I am more impressed with that scope every year. It is as tough as they come and is very bright and clear. holds a zero like a champ. Nikon makes great products for the buck, and it may be worth consideration. Burris, vortex, nikon, all good choices.
