To the OP, I don't think the accuracy has anything to do with the rear stock. I think it has more to do with being an aluminium action rather than steel. But I'm no gunsmith, just my opinion.
The telescoping stock does seem a bit on the flimsy side and I will probably swap mine over to a folding stock at some point. I've only had it a couple days so I can't tell you much about accuracy at this point. Mine's a 300blk.
I’ve been looking into the rifle quite a bit. So what I’ve seen some people claim is that because of the flimsy stock when you preload it into your shoulder to take up the slop it applies pressure to the chassis. And if that pressure isn’t applied in the exact same place every time it can slightly affect the POI.
I’m sure you’re right though about the aluminum receiver. Most likely it’s several things that’s playing a role in its lacklustre accuracy.
But again, for my uses a 2MOA rifle will be good enough for what I plan to do with it.
