Thoughts on CZ rifles?

Im looking at a 527 Varmint and wondering if anyone else has one and the pro and cons of the gun??

Beautiful wood and bluing. The styling is classic and european. The Lux or the FS models are elegant. Accurate and good workmanship. I love my CZ and I hope to own a safari in .458 lott some day and one in 375 ouch and ouch someday.

I have 3 CZs. A CZ452 leftie, BRNO CZ468 single shot trainer (the old ladys) and a leftie CZ527 and it is my fave rifle. I currently have 10 guns but the CZs are the keepers. The CZ527 is a 223 as well and it weighs the same as the 22lr. They are all tack drivers and very nice guns to handle as well as to look at. The 527 is the nicest rifle I own except for the Winchester 94 in 38-55. Damn that sucker has a long barrel. Got Nikon Monarch 6-16 on the 527 and I think it might be better glass than the Leupold I have on my Ruger 30-06. Pretty classy line of rifles. The guys at Reliable where I got mine all own a CZ 452 and there are at least 7 guys working there. Tells ya something IMHO.

In the Varmint I have a 204 Ruger and it is a sweet shooting rifle once I switched to 32 gr bullets instead of 40's.
The others that I have are Americans in 22 hornet and 221 Fireball. My hornet is a nice light weight accurate rifle, and the Fireball I have yet to shoot. FS

I also have the 527 Kevlar 223 and find it to be a nice handling rifle. I’m developing loads for this rifle at this time and groups are getting smaller so yeah, it’s a keeper...

I own some CZ's. They have no cons that I can think of, except perhaps that I would like a few more, and don't have the cash. They make excellent firearms.

Excellent rifles.
If you want to get picky:
- high scope height required
- protruding magazine
- backwards safety

My 550 has a low mounted scope,no protruding mag,and the safety is normal,forward to fire.

Thats backwards, should be rear to fire just like cocking a hammer

My 527 came with rings too and mounted the Nikon very nicely. Lock and load. Taking it out Monday for some exrecise.

I have a 527 American in 221 Fireball. I usually shoot 40 gr Nosler BT @ 3185 fps with 19.4 grs RL7. Lovely little rifle, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another 527

here is a 330 yard group last time out 2.75" 4 shot

and at 460 yards, 5.75"

100 yard groups usually run around .7" 5 shot

Suggest you try whoever you got the rifle from. Like I said, my American that I bought last year came with rings just like my Rugers. Decent rings too and sized correctly for the rifle for height. Works for me.

I lput the warne maximas on mine, much better than the CZ ones IMO. I think WGP and ATR carry them

Any of you happy CZ owners know where to get spare mags? I need to find one for a CZ 527 in 204 ruger. Sorry for the hijack
