Hi all,

Just got my RPAL and looking for my first pistol. Saw that Dlask was selling some Sig Pro 2340 .40S&W for $399. I've done a little research and read that they still have Sig quality and durability, but that the trigger pull on the DAO is very heavy. Just wondering whether anyone has had any experience with these and would recommend one? Although I'm new to shooting Dlask seems to be well recommended by a lot of people so I'd feel pretty confident buying from him.

cheers,
Jason

There's a couple threads on the 2340 floating around here... try doing a search for them... More or less people really like them minus the heavy trigger. There are kits to redo the trigger but they're somewhere in the neighbourhood of $200-300. After all said and done you might have just been better to spend a little more and get the new version of the 2340... not 100% sure but it might be the SP2022? Sure someone here will correct me.

They're extremely durable and reliable, in fact I would go so far as to say it's the most durable and reliable pistol made - however it doesn't have the accuracy of a P226 and the trigger pull isn't as good. However P226s of recent vintage aren't that stellar in the trigger dept., but it's definitely easier to tune the trigger of a P226 because there are more aftermarket parts available and it's easier to sort out the sear and hammer engagement.

For $399 I'd say it's a pretty good deal.
