thoughts on the WSSM?

ill settle the debate once and for all.. the wsm family wins.. expect the 325wsm which was a waste of time. you can all take this newly found information and spead the word... 300wm,30-06 we just can't seem to get rid of em :). so once again the news is out that the wsm family wins and that it is the "green" thing to do lets all hope on the conservation wagon and save lbs of brass and powder.

The 300WSM is a good cartridge and will serve all your hunting needs just as adequately as a .300 WM, 300H&H or .300 Weatherby. The 300WSM feeds fine and is accurate and works fine. However if you are haing recoil issues with your 300WM, then the 300WSM is not going to solve your problems. Dropping down in cartridge size will.

great calibre

I'm new to the site, it was a question I had. Sorry about the Aggravation. I read through the thread, some say bad feeding with the WSM others say it works fine? Velocity is still unanswered?

get a decent 30.06 and be done - miltiple loading choices, buy ammo anywhere, its taken all of our big game.... not bad on recoil, and if you end up with multiple rifles over time the 06 will likely stay....
