Thoughts on this new rifle with warped stock?

Purchased a new CZ 557 .308 with in nice walnut that just arrived in the mail with a warped stock.
I was hoping to take it off right away to save it so I ordered a new stock for it in beech that i could put the wear and tear on.
Hit pattern data chart from factory shows 3 shot group at 50m had a dispersion area of 20mm? Dated 06/14/21, likely had a straight stock on it then as it would've been VERY noticeable to the shooter I would have to assume. I noticed it before I had it fully out of the packaging.

Thoughts?

Edit:
The company who sold me the rifle is awful to deal with. I don't want to name them (yet?) but I do not see them advertised here on CGN. Been around for decades though.
Edit 2: Wolverine does CZ warranty and was quick to help me out.

The second pic shows the stock to be a bit rough for brand new rifle. I would contact the store who sold you this brand brand new rifle and ask what can be done. They should work with you because it really is rough stock.
 
The stock may not be warped at all. Remove the barreled action and reinstall, hold the barrel centered while you tighten down the action screws, see if it remains centered. Many rifles end up like that from getting banged and jostled during shipping from factory to end user. Mess around a little bit before you worry too much.

Something you shouldn't have to do with a new gun, but it might still be the path of least resistance. Worth a shot before you go through the whole return/repair process?
 
Was the box opened before you got it? The victim in me would accuse the retailer of knowingly selling it to mail order. Just because your paranoid doesn’t mean people aren’t trying to screw you.
 
I have never seen such barrel channel misalignment. A wee bit is common and normal, but that's off the charts. I would contact the store and return it, or, ask the store to cover the cost of a replacement stock. Also, the stock looks unusually rough!!
 
I contacted them this morning and they replied right away that they are looking into it and will get back to me.
They have another 557 version with a different stock that I believe will fit. Maybe a solution to switch stocks.

WAY out of alignment, I was pretty surprised. Screws seemed properly torqued.
 
It's a lemon. I own three 557's and all have perfect alignment, better than many other brands I have owned over the years where there was some misalignment, including an expensive Sako.

I was thinking the same thing as far as the stock goes without question.

The factory grouping has me thinking. 2 of the shots are very close to the point of aim, 1 being near dead on, with the 3rd shot making up the majority of the "dispersion area" of 20mm. I'm more a hunter and less a paper puncher so not too knowledgeable on converting/Mils/MOAs/measuring groupings...Anyways, I'm curious how it would perform sitting in a worthy stock.
Fit and finish looks excellent other than the stock. I'll check the fit in the beech stock when it arrives and report back.
 
It's not an unusual condition. Wood can do some wonky things, even to "good" manufacturers. I've owned a Savage 110, and an Anschutz, and a Sako that had stocks with similar mis-aligned barrels. The Savage went away, the other two were epoxy bedded by an expert smith and became accurate, favourite rifles.

Not at all!! They were horrible to deal with. They were not interested in dealing with this issue from the start and their 30 day in house warranty is BS. The BS was stacked high with this guy. I think I might reach out to CZ.
No choice I guess, the gun goes back and I'll give them an appropriate review.
 
Brutal, name and shame for sure. Saves us all a crappy experience.

I'm pretty shocked a CZ came out that crooked. They're normally a safe bet for decent quality hunting arms.
