My first and only SKS to date. Wondering if anyone can think of anything else this build needs? If I was to sell it, what would be a good asking price? Everything is fully functional and ALL original parts would be included if I was to put it up for sale. I guarantee you, this wont be my last SKS...

If you were going to sell it you would be better off to take everything off of it and sell the base sks, then sell the parts separately. No matter how much time, effort and extra stuff you put on your sks, the majority of people buying want the bare sks, some because they prefer it that way, some because they want to put the exact same extra parts on, but they want to do it themselves to make it their sks.
 
Not me. I like the upgrades you did. It looks great and chances are, I can buy it cheaper than if I had to buy and do all the upgrades myself. I am looking for an upgraded sks that shoots well.
 
I case you haven't noticed OP, there are two types of SKS owners in this forum, you, I and a few others lol.......and those who prefer the stock, and only stock, and will Sh!t on everything else.

They are right though about the re sell potential, most upgraded SKS rifles sold as a package will sell for less than what u got into it. Cus like stated, most buyers want stock only, a parts SKS, or to make one themselves. You will be better off selling the gun, and the upgrades separately. It is a nicely setup SKS though.
 
I am a 1950 Tula aficionado. The more original and untouched it is, the more I'd like it. If it's a non refurbed unfired (metalwork - don't care about the stock) example, I'd be all for you to sell the other tidbits to others.
 
Heliace , I think you need to study the SKS a little more before you decide what "upgrade" really means.
Think trigger sear tuning, Wolff springs, bolt mod, 5 and 7 o'clock chamber chamfer, muzzle crowning, AR adapter mod, etc.
Print 3 inch groups at 100 yards. Then play mister dress up.
 
Most people will install the SKS themselves instead of a professional gunsmith. Then the gun doesn't function as well as it did previously. Those people then have a distasteful experience with SKS accessories.

You may have better luck selling the gun separate from the accessories. Also to mention the extra money you will make selling it separately. Most people scroll right passed SKS ads with accessories. People are looking for a cheap rifle. Not something they have to pay $600 for.

I myself personally would rather buy as close to original as possible.
 
Set it up the way you like it. An sks is like a civic... cheap to buy, easy to mod but most kids want a blank slate. If it
looks good to you and goes bang when you want it to... thats all that matters.
enjoy it, shoot it lots and clean it well.
