Thrasher Bull 2009

Awesome story and pics man. Great hunt, beauty bull!

Of all the elk I've looked at, if they have a fork at the end of the beam, you've got a 6 point, unless one of the brow guards are broken off.

nice hunt man. at 20yds that bullet must have opened up right now!

hope it wasn't too hot that day. i sweat my bag off just checking feeders and trail cams in this heat

Good job. You look really happy and so you should. Glad you put it all together when it counted. You shoot em kissing close just like us eastern woods hunters hunting tangle. Thanks for sharing the pic and vid too - much enjoyed.

Very nice indeed, congrats! Failed to identify the rifle, what make is it?

Rem 700 in 8mm Rem Mag. Used to be a BDL but replaced walnut with a Mcmillan classic fibeglass stock. 3.5-10x40 Leupold vx3 in Talley quick det. rings. Love the rifle! thanks to BroncoMudder for selling it back to me :D after I stupidly sold it to him

And I still kick my a$$ for selling it back to you:D If it would have been stainless I would never have sold it......but you probably wouldn't have sold it in the first place either.

I used an M8 6x on it in Talley light weights.

BTW, congrats on the elk buddy. Nice job! Another kill marked up for the TSX. Interestingly enough I had a 180 grain TSX from my 300 Ultra not exit after a broad side shot through the shoulders of a moose at close range like that (about 20 yards). Coincidence?

pretty solid stuff to be impacting at such close range. Placed a few more inches back and I dont think it would be stopped. I would not want to see what a 195gr Hornady Interlock at 3100 fps woulda done to my bull!
