S&W 3904 has a longer slide/barrel.... it's ~ .450 longer then S&W 3953

yeah you're right.... my choice SW3953 DAO is a single stack too and looks same as 3954...but anyway I was close to it!

Very nice, I was never a big fan of the Smith double stacks, but that looks like one slim little 9.

It's a 3954, the DAO version of a 3914 which is blued. There is also the 3953, the DAO vesrion of the 3913 stainless. That's a beautiful pistol!! I'm jealous.

Produced for two years 91/92 . So it's very possible to have a few in Canada

These little guns are very highly underrated, they're capable of all the accuracy of the full sized guns. I still miss my 3913.

Finally took this to the range, just to test for function. No time for target shooting! I was worried about the DAO trigger but all my rounds went into a ten inch area from ten yards as fast as I could shoot.
No hiccups with any ammo, the sights lined up just as the trigger broke.
I would trust my life to this gun!
