What are the thread sizes on the 308 and 223 hog hunter, are they the same? Specifically I have a .223 and wondering about one of the new MDT muzzle brakes.

thanks

You don't really need it to compensate for recoil on a 7lb+ rifle in .223, and it's just gonna make the rifle louder, so I'm just curious what the benefit is? Or is it just cool?

I guess it would keep you more on target for follow up shots? As far as noise goes, one of the loudest guns I ever heard was a Galil in 223 with a brake. Holy crap that was loud! To be fair, that was before a lot of guns were braked, so maybe if I heard it today it wouldn't seem that bad,

22cal brakes are 1/2-28
30cal brakes are 5/8-24
