threading a Fixed Cylinder bore 20ga

Can you thread a Remington 870 fixed cylinder bore 20ga barrel to except threaded factory choke tubes?

The barrel can most likely be threaded, but most likely it will not accept factory chokes. Depending on the barrel dimensions (ID and OD) it will likely be able to be threaded to accept chokes like Trulock style or in the very least thin wall chokes. If it requires thin wall chokes, you cant shoot steel shot out of the barrel

would be turning a tactical barrel model Remington into a Turkey gun so it would be mostly used with an Extra full chokes.

Just measure it with calipers or a micrometer.

I have another idea which I haven't looked into yet, time is a factor busy with work & house reno.

my other idea is to just find a 870 20ga barrel about 20" long with 3" chamber with vented rib & threaded for choke tube & I'll sell the factory 18.5" tactical barrel.

If you want it done right? Listen to these guys. They are good people that do great work. Had a choke install done with them last year. Couldn't be happier with the work or service from them.

I understand I want it done right, the gun is in shipment & I'm waiting for it So I can't give outside diameter until it arrives.

I was also looking at Remington's barrels & they don't make what I'm looking for so when the gun arrives I'll be looking to fallow up with this post and add the info needed.

hopefully we can move forward after that. I bought this tactical gun for turkey use only so I'm in need of a choke tube installed. I should have it by end of week.
