i have taken off the fake can on my krinker 22. what size type of threading is used on the end of the barrel. im looking for a muzzle break type dealy....
i have read somewhere that it is 1/2 X 28 is this correct?

EDIT: also, can anyone direct me to some different muzzle break compensator pieces, that use 1/2 X 28... long story short,

i had to tap the fake can on th ekrinker kit as it was never done from the factory, and my brand new tap snapped clean off under no load..... and now its lodged in the fake can and i cant get the freaking thing out....
crap.

I think it's 1/2x28tpi...

If it's a carbon tap you can just shatter it with a punch or mini chisel
If it's HSS you can send it to me and i'll get it out and tap it strait for you

If you're after a comp i have the YHM 5C2's in 1/2x28,see my sig

the fake can is heavy, useless and I found I shoot way better and the muzzle was much less heavy. I thought about a break or a FH but meh, so I asked a friend (Cocked&Locked) on the forums to make me a thread protector.

I gave him the dimensions via this picture, linked here. 56K beware.

I think he had it done and was going to park it for me but I sold my Krinker off and it fell through the cracks.

Perhaps he will chime in if anyone has any interest building a thread protector.

I gotta go back to work for the rest of my shift, but when I get home this morning I'll look for a few more pictures I have.

I haven't forgotten either,if i can get those AK74 brakes in the future i will snag some
That company was exporting brakes awhile back!
They just stopped shipping due to the export bs i guess, and stopped answering my emails..which kind of pissed me off seeing as i bought $800 worth of taps and a couple brakes from them the month before.
