In his book "Three against the wilderness" Eric Collier describes his use of a Ross 303 in his homesteading days in the Chilcotin in the 1920s and 30s.
The only picture I have seen is a romanticized drawing on the original cover with him depicted with a full-stock military model. In his book he says he carried it in a saddle scabbard, unlikely for a full length Ross. Does anyone know what his rifle looked like?
