The pins in question are the receiver take-down pins

I realise that, I'm making fun of the fact that civilians with Colts will usually try to prove their weapons superiority (or justify the inflated price) by claiming to have some true Milspec features such as an MP tested bolt, parkerized barrel under the front sight base etc. If it does not have an Auto sear, it will never be Milspec!

(I'm anticipating an AR15.com-style flame war).

I'll just leave that comment alone, AR's are meant to use, regardless, modify it to what you want then shoot #### with it..

Yes but a lot of people put acessories on made by shoddy companies. Or try to insert parts from companies that are not "in spec"
