i'm diggin' the socom. how do you like the utg tri rail and the acog style red dot?

I like the rail, the scope is newer but looks like it may work just fine. I justed finnished these puppies today and havn't had a chance to get out yet.
I do have a crate of ammo ready to go though!!

First off, AWESOME photography!!!

Second off, do you find the utg rail heavy? I put it on my sks and it was CRAZY heavy so i took it off!

Thx for the replies

How's the chin-weld on the socom semi-tactical?

Man I love SKSs. Canada's rifle.

I was pondering the same, seems ok just holding it up but I'll know for sure when I find my way out to the bush to blast some paper.
I have two other reddots that sit lower if need be. The iron sights still work though the rail if all else fails.

I really like all of them, and nice job with the camera :)

The pics are just my iphone with a Snapseed app, some people love the pictures some people heavily dislike them...lol

With the rail, I found the bayonet was about the same weight(if not heavier) than the UTG rail so the bayo stayed off. I have held a tri rail from china and they are heavier the the real UTG tri rail.

And this is why I have fallen in love with these rifles! Awesome work!!! I am looking to get one at the end of this month when I get my tax return. Does anyone happen to know.... I was browsing a forum, I'm pretty sure it was here, but I'm not 100% sure.... but there are laminate stocks for the SKS, that are done in crazy bright colors. I have seen them in bright blues, and reds, and teals. I for the love of all that is holy, cannot find the website of he company that makes them. Does anyone happen to know what I am referring to?

Great looking firearms man! I love the idea, of being able to keep it looking it's age, or making it look all new and fancy, all tactical looking an such, because you can keep some people guessing.
