If you are referring to the pins in the forestock above the bayo channel. All SKS stocks have them. All my non refurbs had them as well. They are to strengthen the forestock. I don't remember any of the hundred plus SKS's I have owned not having them.
I have never seen an SKs with more than one but that doesn't mean that of the millions produced that there were some that had more than one. I have never considered this question before. The pin itself likely wouldn't be used as a repair. Many of the Russian stocks have had arsenal repairs done to them. But the pin is to prevent the bayo from pushing through the thin portion of the fore stock or cracking it. If you look at the stock from the front end there is little material because of the cleaning rod slot and the bayo channel slot. Once that would split I would assume the stock would be no good or a major stock repair would be needed. I would not think that an extra pin alone would do any good. You would likely also see a stock repair as well. Or the stock would be scrapped if determined to be unrepairable. That is to say that there couldn't be stocks with more than one pin, but to me if it was to repair the stock you would also have to see a significant stock repair as well. Some may have been produced with more than one pin, but I don't recall ever seeing one. But as for the reasons stated I would not think a second pin would of itself indicate stock repair. Other factors are usually used to determine if the stock has been reworked/refurbished.
