I took advantage of the high $$ and the sale at Cameraland recently. Picked up a set of Minox Bl 8x42 BR binos from Doug. They are not Leica's, but they have nice, clear optics, and I like the twisting eyecups. Weight is comfortable at 22oz. Can't wait to wear them this season!

Cost with exchange and shipping was $315CA to my door. Customs didn't charge me duty or tax. The regular price on these is $439US, and they are in the Cabelas Canada sale flyer for $359 +tx+shipping, so Doug has the best deal on these if anyone is looking, and he through in a nice Cameraland/Minox ball cap...:)

I've dealt with Doug a couple of times for binoculars and Leica laser range finders. He also took care of a friend of mine for a new digital camera. He could give graduate level classes on customer service.

Doug & Joel are first class guys!When my Leica Rangefinder arrived it didn't function,they had a replacement on the way to me well before I could arrange to ship the first one back.Now I'm thinking about a pair of Minox HG's,and if I get them it will be from Cameraland.Awesome customer service,I only wish they could ship scopes to Canada! Mur
 
I bought demo binos (Pentax) a couple years ago from cameraland, just like new, I've been very happy. Doug was a pleasure to deal with.
