Where are you guys sourcing your Thumler's Tumbler (Model B) from? Doesn't appear that any of the sponsors are selling these machines and Cabelas Canada and USA are on back order.

I would also like to know that answer to this question. Also, are there any good sources for SS media in Canada?

There is one place in Canada that seems to sell them cheaper than everyone else.
They're currently out of stock but will have more by the end of March. The shipping within Canada is free as well. Think its called Canadian Treasure Seekers or something like that.

I'm also waiting to pick one up along with some stainless tumbling media.

Canadiantreasureseekers.com is the outfit that carries Thumler tumblers. I ended up buying a Lortone QT-12 from them because they didn't have a Thumler Model B in stock. Either one is a quality tumbler.

That's where I got my model B but it came with the slower motor when the guy said it had the larger one.
When I called to complain he backtracked and denied ever saying anything so be careful with him.

I've got an email in to the manufacuter and am confirming how outrageous shipping might be from Sinclair.

Cabelas.ca is +-$50 mor ethan Sinclair, so we'll see which is better.

What I was really hoping was that someone might know of a hobby store or a local retailer that stocks them in Canada.

Bueller? Bueller?

Try Les Pinder at <lespinder@shaw.ca>;
I just bought a Thumbler’s Tumbler Model B and stainless steel pins from him, quick service.
Get the high speed 1/30 HP model. It works great on black powder cartridges, such as the .44-40 and .45-70.
There are a number of posts on tumblers on http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/

High speed tumbler

Like already said, make sure to get the hi speed motor.

High speed tumbler, now there's an oxymoron. I use STM in low speed tumblers to prevent peening thin neck cases and cases finished with 22 degree chamfer. I have high and low speed tumblers and side by side they do the same job in the same time, less damage with low speed.

Another use for tumbler is applying case lube to brass. Find a piece of heavy duty foam cut into 2" X 2" square .5" thick and apply case lube to pad. Use a scale to weigh foam before lube is applied. Lube it sparingly. A tiny amount goes a long way. Lube that I use requires 8 gr. of lube for 500 223 cases. Run about 20 minutes in low speed tumbler.
