Thureon Carbines

That would sure make a beautiful little plinker/close range varmint rig. Simple, reliable and cheap, although not the prettiest rifle I've seen (not that I care) their lead engineer must have some Russian in him.

I want one!

here's the reply can anyone help with his query??

"We have not yet sent these carbines to Canada. We plan on working with a
number of dealers across Canada, but have not yet sent samples to the RCMP
for import classification.

We hope to obtain "Non-Restricted" status by shipping them with a 19" barrel
and a 5 round magazine.

Bushmaster makes a "Carbon-15" pistol. It uses the same magazine that we
use in our carbine. Is it possible that 10 round magazines are already
certified? "

Thanks for watching our video.

not worth the $ if it's going to be $900 cdn.

The barebones version is 659.99 USD. People are saying that "As long as it's UNDER 900 CAD" they will buy one. We do not have a confirmed price as of yet.

We're talking about a non-restricted 9x19 carbine with 10 round mags. That's pretty awesome. Hell, I don't think there even are any other 9x19 carbines that come from the factory as non-restricted. What are you complaining about?

Even if it were priced around the same price as the CX4, these would fly off the shelves quickly. Just take a look at the prices of other pistol calibre carbines. Not everyone can afford $2K+ for some of the fancier carbines out there, but I guarantee that at whatever the final price for these would be, a lot more people will be interested in an affordable plinker like this.

BTW, I'd even like to see short barreled restricted versions of these, if they would be willing to produce them as well.

Very impressive.

While I like hand-rubbed American Walnut on fine firearms as much as the next guy, the simple, blocky design and emphasis on reliability appeals to me.

It does have a Russian or VW kind of form-follows-function vibe about it.

I'd be interested.

I wonder if the AR stock is needed to function. I'd prefer side folder.

From the looks of the upper, I doubt the buffer tube holds anything, so adding an AceLtd style sidefolder would be a breeze. Don't know about the resulting OAL.

Here's the only pic a quick browse got me:

We have to get them to engrave a maple leaf on the side of the reciever and call it the " Canadian edition!" Since they machine all there recievers from alum block.

An Ace stock would be sweet on it.

Lets get one in the RCMP's hands quick!

In my personal opinion, I think they could have gone a little bit further in the style department. Could have, at the least, blended some edges, rounded some corners. Especially at the receiver rear where the stock attaches.

I'd still buy one in a heart beat.
