We're chatting by email and I did send you some pics. If you look at the TD webby, I think they quote $90 for top rail, one long rail and two short rails. I specified top rail plus three long rails. I think they charged me $108. I do not believe you can install a rail kit if you get the round hand guard version of this gun.

Thanks, that answers my question. The short railed version others are selling has the round handguard which needs to be swapped out if you plan on the long rails. I think the Wanstall's long railed handguard version is the one for me. I'm assuming that all AR15 furniture fits on the TDC. I have a S&W AR and a JDC. These are the pics you sent me:

I was assuming the round handguard does come off and the octagonal one can be installed, as it's an option on TD website. I've never seen one of these in person, so I don't know. It's a moot point however, as I just bought the one from Wanstall's a few minutes ago Going to have to work some OT during the holidays

I have glock and kci mags and both work great

I don't know if either hand guard is removeable

I was able to remove the round handguard on mine with a strap wrench. A wee bit on the snug side but it did come off. I would have left it alone but it was not indexed and drove me nutz. So I took it off and removed a bit of material on the lathe and reinstalled it. All is good now. Great gun, love mine. Sold it off then bought it back.

Nice carbine. I always say I would like one, but I never end up purchasing one.

Maybe one day. So many nice firearms to get, cant get em all.

I just cant seem to find a use for the 9mm carbine.


Would maybe be fun for lower cost/noise plinking at cans on the farm or something compared to 223.
