Search didn't turn up a previous TD thread so I thought it worthwhile to have one.

Plenty of JR carbine interest but, altho I don't have either (yet), the TD looks a better bet even if it is more expensive.

Main problem I see with the JR is cleaning. It looks a nice gun and I admit I was tempted, but the strip and clean has put me off.

So how about the TD fans out there telling us how good their choice has been. And the upgrades, and pics of course.

And......which dealers are selling them at the moment.

I bought mine from wanstalls its a 45. I love it so far its a blast to shoot and it seems a lot better built then the jr carbines.

My 9mm has been on backorder for a few months now.

Handled both and TD ease of takedown and slightly better finish sold me.

has anyone tried the kci mags in a 45? I want to make sure they work good before I buy a few.

Had one in 9mm. Great gun. I sold it because I just didn't use the bloody thing very much. I don't shoot at a range and 9mm will do the job for small game hunting but it's not my first choice so it went and found a good home at another CGNers house. I'd get another if I ever figure out what I'd use it for.

Finally the weather allowed me to take the TD in 45acp to the range, what a blast. It ate ammo I had reloaded with SWC that my XD pistol would not digest which is good seeing as I have a 1000 reloads. Looking forward to summer competitions and maybe even deer season with this beast.

Got mine from Arms East. Couple things I don't like about it, but for the most part I love it. Doubt I'd ever get rid of it.

The KCI mag I bought in .40 has been a disaster. Jammed on every other round in my JRC, ran 6rds on my TDC, then the 7th wouldn't strip. The spring in the mag loses it's tension, causing failures. Will never buy a KCI magazine again = garbage. I have heard that those with other caliber KCI mags have had better luck...

Love my Thureon Defense Carbine. I really have to press the mag in to get it to click on a closed bolt, but all Glock mags I have ran 100% in it. I have an issue with the rails, that come loose... may need some loctite on the screws. There is play between the upper and lower (with a little rattle), I expected a more perfect rifle - but it runs and looks good.

Yeah if you want to try to find UZI Magazines in 9mm... Glock models are hard to come by ATM

Not true at all homes. Voila!

The "GA" models use glock magazines. The "SA" models use the modified uzi stick mags which, I agre,e are hard as #### to find.

Epps seems to only have GA models in stock and only in .40 s&w at present.

I regret selling mine, I want to buy another one some day, maybe 10mm this time.

I regret selling yours too lol, I wish I had kept that gun.

My only negative experience with it was a few broken firing pins, but Thureon kept sending them with apologies for my inconvenience. When I called in for my second pin, they sent sent me 4 just in case lol.
