"tick-off-the-traditional-shooters-anti-10/22-ultimate-build" First target up.

We have these .22 BR types at the club...you know the kind  Anshutz shooting anti-black rifle traditionalists on one night, and 5000 dollar 10/22 modding elitists the next.

I got some real dirty looks when I showed up with an old brno and wanted to compete....they said it wasn't a "proper" target rifle.....THIS IS!

Started with a rhineland R22, AR15 match internals, PSG furniture, custom barrel, tensioning shroud, barrel threaded into the rec. and completely free floated.
2.5-10X in a custom mount....and the looks to REALLY piss off the "thats not proper target gun" guys at the bench. Oh yeah, and it shoots really, really well.

Nice, I have been waiting to see what you were up to on this project. The gall to show up with a "non proper" BR rifle. LOL. When the next ban is looming I personally will be lobbying against the private ownership of "high stealth sniper rimfires", man those Anshutz guns are a massacare waiting to happen.LOL.

that is awesome to say the least but you still cannot shoot with us.
Our club does not allow semi autos on bench night, the reasons for this have never been explained in any detail and when one inquires the answer is always no I am sorry those are club rules. The same goes for scopes, they only allow open sights. bunch of snobs anyway. great looking set up though.

I would not let you shoot at my club with that either. That is unless you let me shoot it first! Seriously though. As long as the rifle meets weight requirements why would anyone not let you shoot? At my club, we are just trying to get members out, I don't care what you have, just come out. If you have a semi, that just means you are on the right end of the line.

So, spill it. How did you get that stock attached? What's the story on the magwell?

I got the G3 Stock adapter before Rhineland gave up the ghost.

Can you explain to me why someone would not allow scopes on a .22 target rifle?
I am asking because I have used telesopic sights in National small bore competition, and BR50 competitions.
I also have an original M37 Remington in the basement that has a magazine.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why a club would not allow a semi on a "bench night" because they are allowed in bench and 3p national competition.
I do not own one BTW, have never owned one, and have no plans to own a semi.
I do welcome them whenever someone shows up with a one, however....

like I said Cat those are the club rules and when you enquire with the boys about it they always say well them the rules, always been like that not willing to change them for anybody. We referr to it as the old farts night and we shoot open unrestricted equipment the night after them. Our indoor range is crowded when shooting prone and the guy to your right will almost always get the brass when you shoot a semi, I should mention that they prefer tarhet ammo as it is not as loud and doesn't disturb the other shooters. It is al done for p and g no trophys guts or bragging just a old fassioned hand shake and a good shooting guy remark.

We have screens we can put up for that, we get rapid fire rimfire hand guns next to guys shooting standing slow fire, etc.
if a range is really crowded, i cetainly can see segrating the different rifles, etc.
BTW, ever seen how far a Martini international can toss an empty round?:D

hot brass

I've had many a hot 45acp brass down the back of my shirt from the joker next door that tilts his handgun so the brass goes up over the baffle between us. Good times though. Had him baffled back a few times when he thought he was the only one on the relay shooting a 22, for the life of him he couldn't figure out why he kept getting 11 holes in his target. It was hard to keep a straight face when all of the experts got involved and I ruled out their richochet theory when I pointed out the powder residue around all eleven holes. Needless to say after five targets he thanked winchester for cramming 55 rounds in a box stamped as 50. Those are the guys I like to hang out with and the others well they are on their own.:D

OH yeah sorry Ryan I still like your rifle and I'll leave the chit chat with Cat for when he shakes my hand and hands over my new precision rifle that his club raffled off:D :D :D
