I got some real dirty looks when I showed up with an old brno and wanted to compete....they said it wasn't a "proper" target rifle.

I got the same jerk comments when I went to a local club with my old Mossy 46M. Ironically the $5,000+ über rimfires shot about the same.

Methinks those sorts of people need eye herpes. :D

That's one FINE rifle:) :) I'm really impressed with the way you put her together. It's a shame in this day and age where our very right to own firearms is in danger, that we still see people turned away from shooting because of the equipment they use. We are ALL GUN OWNERS and we should band together, not split into groups where " my kind of shooting is more valid than yours". Be kind. Be gentle. When a newbee shows up at the club, welcome them and make them feel at home.:)

Still haven't got to the range, but I shot this group out in the yard this AM. CCI mini-mags at 38m (farthest I can get) off the bipod on the picnic table. 5 shots, one flyer (could've been me...mosquitos are friggiin vicious this year!)....there is some serious potential for accuracy out of this gun. Can't wait to try it with premium ammo of the bags. All in all, I'm happy!

I have to admit, I've never really liked most of the 10/22s done up to look like black rifles. But..... that one is very cool. It looks great, has a quality look to it, and looks like it shoots well too. You can't ask for anything more than that.
By the way give it a try with Lapua Super club. I suspect you'll be shooting 5 round groups that are one ragged hole.

Good luck. I wish I was that handy to build something like that.

LOL...It's not a 10/22! You know there are way too many 10/22 add-on parts when everybody who see's this gun assumes that it is a ruger in a fancy suit ;)

I am eager to try some match ammo, and shoot off an actual bench. I might actually be heading to the club tonight if the rain lets off :D

Sorry I thought the rhineland R22 was basically a custom done job based on the 10/22. Oops.

Still it's a nice looking rimfirle rifle.

I might go this route evenetually. I was planning on some day getting a Les Baures varmint AR15, but since it's restricted, there's no point. You could never use it for varmints.

That is a very fine rifle you built there. Took a lot of work and dedication. Too bad some other shooters would scoff at it. A thing of beauty it is. Thanks for sharing it. Never seen anything like it in a .22. Awesome HK G3 look!

Could you build me one of those Browning M1918 MG miniatures that belt feed .17 mach2's. Just kidding of course. GREAT JOB! Anybody know about these? I had a chance to see one on YouTube. I understand that it would be a prohibited firearm but am just curious about it. Sorry if I am in the wrong forum since this is a bit off topic.
