Being a Ruger fan I had to have their new SR22 when it came out. Lucky to get one when they first arrived here in Canada but was a little choked when I realized the telescoping stock was fixed. Dumb but that was the only way they could be imported. Still love that rifle and it's a shooter.
So I am in Wholesale Sports recently looking at guns and such and this guy beside me is considering buying an SR22. I chime in extolling the virtues of this gun but the only drawback is that the stock is fixed. He says, "Well this one isn't", and proceeds to move it back and forth!!! The sales guy says, "Oh yeah, that restriction was lifted and now all of them have working retractable stocks."
So if I want a retractable stock I have to buy one but all the ones coming in now are sold that way. I was not impressed. So what are the odds Ruger will trade me my fixed one for a working one? Any bets?
