I placed this very small order on November 4th. The total purchase price was $21, I was willing to pay expedited shipping as the order consisted of 4 very small items, how much could it be right? Well, 18 days(expedited ha!) later I receive the order that was packed in a ridiculously large box for the size of the order. Then I looked at the invoice...I was charges $42 shipping on a $21 order! 18 days for delivery and stupid big box...Not happy.

Call them I have found Brownells customer service excellent and have read that others have had similar issues as yours, when they called it got sorted. Good luck.

I have had a few orders shipped up from Sinclair with no issue, but I have always requested USPS. I would prefer to buy locally but Sinclair just has way too much stuff that you cant find anywhere else, and they always treat me well.
Sorry about your luck.

Same for me, USPS is great, all other shipping options from the US are horrible! Also, I have never had an issue like the big arse box!

My brother ordered two (yes two) screws from brownells, and instead of sending then in an envelope, they put them in a big box with their catalogue. The two screws had a $30 shipping charge lol.

I just received an order packed in a big box like that. It came USPS as I selected on checkout and it arrived in 7 working days (I won the customs lottery that trip ;) ) and shipping was under 12 bucks.

Never, never, never, order ANYTHING from ANYONE in the USA unless it can be shipped USPS.

BTW, ( I once asked Sinclairs about the big boxes and they said smaller packages simply get lost too often )

I just received some stuff i ordered from sinclaire, I got a bullet comparator, a .223 precision mic set, and a forster benchrest seater. shipping was $23 usps the box was way smaller than that ridiculous box you got.

the only surprise i had was when i picked it up I had to pay gst and pst, and a stupid $9 charge from the Canadian border, they had obviously opened the package and resealed it (why they charge ME to check from contraband I do not know)

It only took a week to get my package and i thought the shipping was very reasonable, my only complaint was that $9 charge from the border idiots to open my package

Update...

I called Sinclairs this morning and spoke with a very helpful lady by the name of Sandy. I explained the situation and emailed her the pics of the giant box, she was more than willing to credit back the shipping costs. Great customer service right there.

I ordered 2 action screws and it came in the same big ass box with the same packing material. The one thing I always do when I order from Sinclairs though is I specify under "special instructions" to ship the cheapest method via USPS and to cancel the order if shipping exceeds $X amount. In this case I said $10 bucks and was charged $8.

The same happened to me when I ordered 3 front sights. Bit box for 3 small things and 24.00 shipping.
The only pro was that those "air bags" gave me about 30 minutes of peace, as I assigned the hard task of popping them to my 3 year-old son.

1. There's no such thing as 'expedited' shipping when crossing the border
2. shipping costs are expensive - more so from brownells - it's always expensive from there
3. dont' :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: too much, as has been mentioned - at least they ship up here. If you want a better price, shop around...
