google sub machine guns from chile. this one has been seen before in about 1960 or there abouts. looks alot like the gun issued to the chilian navy back then.

The barrel is water cooled. Heat is transferred from the barrel, into the water filled hand.

This is one of those "flagrant design changes" the anti's keep talking about, to get around the "barrel shroud" restriction of the assault weapons ban.
