Tight bolt lifts 300 PRC custom

Hmmm seem ok and conservative load.... check maybe for a carbon ring if the rifle have a lot of round.... and maybe a chambering problem or reloading process

He asked the gunsmith who built the rifle and found out the once fired brass he was using was fired from another/different 300 PRC. So it turned out the slight difference in chamber size and bolt interface created this issue. New brass was to an issued with the tight bolt lift. Full length sizing doesn't correct the size to the base of the brass so he had to single feed them through a truing rig (not sure of the proper name) but it kinda reshapes the brass to the correct diameter.
Gotcha. The last couple of barrels I bought I purchased 500 pieces of brass before chambering so I had lots of the same brass and it’s all going to get used so no waste. I avoid range pickups for anything I want to shoot well.

I haven’t followed the prc cartridge too closely, but I remember guys having a similar problem with the first 6.5prc when it came out. I think they were rectifying the problem by making their reamer slightly latger towards the base. Not sure if the 300 is suffering fromt he same issue???
