I reloaded some once fired (in this gun) brass and the brass length and OAL are both in spec. Yesterday I went out and the bolt is snug to close on these rounds. Not impossible to close, but snug. They eject fine fired or unfired and the rounds are 1.1gr under the max listed load and there were no pressure signs at the max load. I'm guessing that when I was decapping them I never did the complete stroke on the ram as I was just popping the primer out and resizing the neck and this has something to do with it? I have a bunch more primed brass and was wondering what I should do with them.

Should be good to go, for the next loading resize a couple of cases and try them, if they are snug turn down your die a bit till they chamber easily.

If you are only neck sizing you will find this happens on most brass, it is normal. If you are 'full length sizing' you can lower your die some, but it sounds fine like it is.

I don't mind first firing being tight, but I wouldn't hunt with that tight of a round.

Keep grease on your locking lugs.

You should keep grease on the back of the bolt locking lugs.

You could back the de-capping rod out until pin doesn't de-prime, and turn the die down 1/8 turn and see how the brass fit in your chamber, If ok, run them all thru...

To find out why the bolt is stiff on closing, do this.
Try an empty case in the chamber, just as it comes out of your sizer. If the bolt closes stiff, then your trouble is in sizing and I would suggest a little more sizing.
If the bolt closes normal on the empty brass, then you are causing the trouble in seating, probably over crimping.

x2.

I had a similar problem and for a long time I kept blaming my chamber until I tried it in another rifle and behold, the same problem was there.

At first I thought it was casing length and I tried trimming it and it still didn`t help much

It turned out I wasn`t camming over my press enough during sizing and after adjusting the die depth voila! I was back in business.
