My Range Rules
Safe gun handling.
Muzzle points to the sky or the ground, no sweeping other shooters.
Bolt open or out from case to shooting line and from shooting line to case.
Bolt open when gun is not attended on shooting line.
No gun fondling while people down range.
Buddy system of chamber check(if possible) before moving from shooting line.
No restricteds.
You must belong to a gun club, or be an NFA member with liability insurance.
And I'm kinda a safety nut, so everyone goes home in one piece.
Oh and the guns go away when the alcohol comes out to play.
Swearing!! Talk like your MOM’s standing beside you. It makes me happy

Where is it located at? Would be awesome to join up even just to watch!!!

pm sent

I'm going to send 308 cal 160gr cast bullets as far as I can. I am also sending 303 cal 160 gr cast bullets as far as I can. Time to do some load testing.

update: they planted canola in the field a few days ago. The peas were cleaned out of the seeder. The field is yellow.

July 14 I will send out pms to see who is still interested. Old puter died (harddrive caput) but I have a printed list some where.

Painting house!
Cheers.

Well I had a bit of spare time so I hauled the targets that have holes in them out to the welding bench. Time to do some fast tanning. I need to find some more 4mm 6010 for hole filling, what with all the 338s coming.

Bump
7 weeks to go and I need more paid confirmations from the 30 people on the list. Please pay by Aug 11th or I will be opening it up to the people on the waiting list.
pm's outbound

Golf balls at 400, 600 and 800, or 6 8 and 1000. The 800 yard ones were a challenge last year. Only hit 1, out of many shots.(never did find it)
Might just string them out from 400,5,6,7 to 800.
Odawg any particular distance you want them?
Couple of companies onboard for target steel. woohoo. Targets as prizes. With or without stands?

THE FARMERS UP HERE ARE DROPPING THE CANOLA ALREADY!!!!!!!! woohoo

Fore!!!! Lol. Too bad I couldn't bring my 500 smith and Wesson and try some open sight 2 and 300 yard shots :)

:dancingbanana:THE CANOLA IS SWATHED :dancingbanana:

Target repair/paint time. Missing a bunch of stands so I have to break out the welder. Hope I still remember how!!
Half the targets are set up half of them are still laying on the ground.

Its getting exciting. The shooting line needs the 4 foot high trees cut(DONE), weeds knocked down(Done by the misses), canola combined!! Haven't been to the 1 mile target spot, but I suspect it will need the same treatment(YUP & DONE). Shooting line is 33 yards wide this year.
2 inches of rain fell today so the machinery sits till it dries up some. Going to check out a couple of alternate spots if the crop doesn't get harvested off this spot.
Almost 40 targets to choose from. Don't know if I have enough stands for all 40 but we will see.
What colour should the 45/70 targets be black, yellow or florescent orange?

Targets for 45/70 only will be at 500 and 700(Buffalo).
