You can't go wrong with Sako/tikka optilock base and rings. It is good but costy.

The best (and most expensive) are still the factory Optilock system. Next are the Burris/Leupold standard mount rings and bases that screw into the receiver. Also the Burris Steel tactical weaver 2pc. base and Zee rings are a good option. Phil.

I needed a bit more room to move my scope forward on my Sako 300 Win and followed Phil's advise onthe Burris rings and they are working great.

I like the Optilocks as well, even though they are expensive and heavy. One thing about their rings is that they are high, so depending on your scope, you can probably go with low or even extra low.

I went with a Near Mfg stainless steel weaver base (10 MOA) with a set of TPS rings from ### International (CGN site sponsor dealer). A pretty pricey setup, but rock solid - and everything bought from within Canada!

I'll vote on the Optilocks Rings & Bases. HAve them on my Tikka T3's and Sako m75's all with Leupold scopes. Great rings. As mentioned, more $$$ but worth it. My rifles have never lost their zero, especially my Sako m75SS 300WM thst is 9-10 years old.

First choice - Tikka Optiloks .

Millet makes not a bad set for the Tikka ... utilizes the
dovetail and the recoil recess. Provides for a fair bit
of scope position adjustment & are quite solid.

Of note: Leupold mount screws as provided are often
too long for the Tikkas ...

Nice looking setup Clang!

Thanks 604Shooter, I read about the Near bases from a post in CGN, and I am very impressed with it. I didn't even need to bore scope my scope when I mounted it, everything work perfectly the first time. I don't think I will need to look at lapping the rings with this setup - everything lines up perfectly.

In addition, I really impressed with the TPS rings (purchased from Joe @ ### International - CGN dealer Sponsor), so much so I replaced ALL the rings on ALL of my rifles!

I would highly recommend this setup
