I have one in 6.5x55, love it, great trigger, smooth action and very accurate. Love's Norma 156gr ammo. Well balanced with Leupold 1.75x6 VX3. I have 3 Tikka's, and they all shoot great. Wood stock is my favourite. You can't go wrong, Good Luck

I had one in .300 Win Mag for awhile. It shot just about anything I could concoct for loads, balanced well and was easy to shoot. I still didn't like it much, because it had a cheap feel that I couldn't get over.

I sold it with scope and ammo to a buddy that didn't have that problem, and he seems to be happily killing everything he points it at.

It probably won't matter on a .270, but that factory recoil pad is a joke.

I have the T3 lite in 300 WM and am very impressed with it. I could care less about the "cheesy" feel that some say it may have. It a hunting gun, I need it to take hits, scratches, smacks and whatever else the wild will throw at it and after all that I expect it to preform every time and it does. You couldn't ask for a better rifle IMHO.

Other then the plastic parts to save money, the wooden stock has no figure at all, might as well be stained hardwood, I'd rather spend a bit more, get rid of the plastic, and put a nice wooden stock with cut checkering, and some grain in the wood, and a steel hinged floorplate and bottom metal, I might even buy one!

The T3 Tikka is an excellent functioning and shooting rifle, very dependable regardless of the "plastic" parts...... despite what the " Tikka bashers " say :)

Whats a spare mag go for these days? I shot my buddies southpaw T3 in .270 and IMO had absolutely smooth cycling, great trigger & handling.
This is what turned my 'wants' to T3 Hunter in 6.5 Swede. P&D has one w/Burris scope for $1125.......

I ditto all good points mentioned, i have the .270 Lite in stainless and it is a great rifle, very smooth action with a nice light trigger pull now that it's broken in. Great, accurate (more than me) right out of the box. not sure what you'd need extra mags for though, isn't four shots ebough?;)

Hey, I had to carry 10 30rnd'ers in Afghanistan...just saying.....
.......and what if I lose one? lol :p

Have shot one in .300 WSM. Excellent rifles! Action is silky smooth, and they shoot the lights out!

Limbsaver recoil pads bolt on and definitely take some of the bite out of 'em.

The cheapest place I found mags in my part of AB was Ukranian Tire! For my son's 6.5x55...........Harold
